I take my kids shoes very seriously. They must fit just right so the kids can run and play and be warm, dry and comfortable.These boots are excellent bc:Fit nice and snug and support ankle and footEasy to put on as velcro and pull things (no laces)They are indeed water/snow proof (warning- i just mean for a few blocks- never tried them for long stints)Perfect all year around shoe- light enough for fall and spring showers, and fine for winter if you use thick hiking wool socks.Look super cuteSuper light weight- kids don't Feel they have to get them off when they get indoors to play.Not clunky and overweightCons: they are not as easy as bogs which u can just slip on even standing but i used bogs for my first child and never liked how loose they fit for real running and playing these are simply superior,For popping from your house to a car, bogs are easier but in my experience kids always end up running and playing and it is best to have them dressed for it in secure shoes.
