Elephant Ears Jack's Giant is just huge! A very imposing architectural plant with massive green leaves with pale green veins on rigid stems. Growth rate during the summer months can be quite astonishing. Plant can reach heights of 6 to 8 feet tall with leaves as large as 3 feet wide and 5 feet long! Elephant Ear varieties are hardy in zones 7-10 as perennials and suitable in zones 4-6 as annuals. They are popular as annuals due to their rapid growth - colocasia makes a dramatic impact to the landscape within just one growing season. They make wonderful potted plants.

Hardy Zone 7-10. We are zone 6b, and find if we plant them deep, and mulch them, they tend to come back, but no guarantees!!

Zone 6 resident; ordered bulbs June 5th; received June 10th. I should've ordered them in May for extra growing time. They looked large and healthy, based on videos I'd been studying. Planted them the next week in June. It is now July 15th, and the stems have grown about 6" above ground; one has a medium size leaf. Will add a picture in a few more weeks. Giving them growing time to be fare. They love water. I'm very satisfied. Update: Pics added on 7/21 ;-)
